Voice

The Voice Generator allows you to play back your own audio recordings – such as individual spoken sentences – at specific points in time.

There are three blocks provided, which can be placed anywhere or left blank:

Numerous design functions are available, such as

 Graphics

Timing of speech segments, adjusting their duration, and fade-ins and fade-outs

Here, the timing of the speech blocks can be adjusted.

As a guide, the lines show the patterns of the generators’ brain frequencies and their respective volume levels (by dimming).

The vertical lines at the bottom of a block mark the start of an individual recording.

Position

By clicking, holding and dragging a block.

Duration

The sliders at the bottom can be used to adjust the start and end times, and thereby also the duration (applies only to blocks in loop mode).

Fade in/out

Use the top sliders to set the fade-in and fade-out of a block.

Details

Use the arrow to navigate to a block’s further configuration (the recordings used and other settings).

 Audio recordings

Compiling audio recordings from a language block

This is where the voice recordings for a block are compiled.

If they are not played back in random order, the sequence can also be set here

They can also be repeated several times, so that certain ideas can be reinforced.

Move

Recordings can be reordered by clicking, holding and dragging.

Delete

Only the reference is removed. The recording remains in its folder.

Add

Using the plus icon , existing recordings can be added.

Offset

This allows you to adjust the start of the next recording. This enables you to create pauses or overlaps.

Record

You can also use the microphone to make a new recording straight away, which is added automatically.

Recording details

Use the arrow to go to the recording management screen, where you can also add comments to it.

 Properties

Adjusting the effects of a speech block

This is where the effects for a speech block are set.

start, duration, ramp up, ramp down

These determine the temporal behaviour as shown in the graph, only with greater precision.

parallel

The number of recordings to be played back simultaneously. The space around the head is divided evenly, with one voice played from each line in turn.

pitch

This allows the recordings to be played back faster or slower, causing voices to sound higher or lower. For very fast or slow phrases, this can also be used as a subliminal effect.

subliminal

The volume of the voices is continuously adjusted to the overall volume and set just below the threshold of perception. This means that when the background music becomes quieter, so do the voices. This allows for the delivery of subliminal messages which are no longer consciously perceived, but are instead received directly by the subconscious. The volume control is used for fine-tuning, so that the speech is just barely inaudible.

rotation

Specifies the number of degrees per second by which the voices should rotate around the head.

delay

The general time interval between recordings.
